FVC-onGoing@IJCB11
FVC-onGoing@IJCB11 is a fingerprint verification competition based on the FVC-onGoing benchmarks organized in conjunction with the
Joint Conference on Biometrics (IJCB 11).
Motivation
Performance evaluation is important for all biometric modalities and particularly so for fingerprint recognition,
which is receiving widespread attention for citizen identity verification and identification in large-scale applications.
Unambiguously and reliably assessing the current state of the fingerprint recognition technology is mandatory for understanding
its limitations and addressing future research.
Benchmarks
The following benchmarks are included in FVC-onGoing@IJCB11:
|
FV-STD-1.0 |
FV-HARD-1.0 |
Fingerprint verification (proprietary templates) on a dataset of fingerprint images acquired
in operational conditions using high-quality optical scanners.

Fingerprint verification (proprietary templates) on a dataset which contains a relevant number
of difficult cases (noisy images, distorted impressions, etc.).

How to participate
All algorithms evaluated under one of the above benchmarks before the deadline specified below, will be included in FVC-onGoing@IJCB11.
Submission and evaluation of the algorithms follow the standard FVC-onGoing rules (see Sumbission and Publication policy).
Note that, in order to be included in FVC-onGoing@IJCB11,
evaluation results must be published by the participants before the deadline.
Deadline
Algorithms' results must be published on the FVC-onGoing website within May 15th, 2011.
The deadline has expired: results will be reported at the
Joint Conference on Biometrics (IJCB 11)
on Oct. 11-13, 2011.
